Zazen Experience + Half-Sized Soba Lunch + Shizuoka Sightseeing Trip (Departing from Shimizu Port)

This special six-hour tour allows you to enjoy the unique spirit, food, and scenery of Shizuoka all in one place.
The morning begins with a Zen meditation experience at a temple, followed by a hands-on experience of traditional Japanese temple culture, including sutra chanting, incense burning, and cleaning. You’ll also receive a personalized goshuin stamp and a certificate of completion, making for a perfect keepsake.
For lunch, enjoy authentic gluten-free 100% buckwheat soba noodles at Sobahan Toro Branch, a soba specialty restaurant
. In the afternoon, choose from a variety of Shizuoka sightseeing spots to suit your preferences. Choose from a wide range of fascinating options, including nature, history, temples, and stunning views.

Although it is a short trip, it is a fulfilling plan that will allow you to calm your mind, be soothed by nature, and fully experience the charm of Shizuoka.

09:00 Meet and depart from Shimizu Port

Meet your guide and head to the temple.
We will give you a brief overview of the day’s schedule.

**09:30-11:30 (approximately 90-120 minutes)

Temple experience: Zazen + sutras, incense + cleaning + temple seal + certificate of completion**

You will spend a special time practicing zazen in the quiet main hall, allowing you to calm your mind.
Afterwards, you will experience reading sutras, offering incense, and even participating in a temple cleaning experience.
At the end, you will receive a personalized goshuin stamp and a certificate of completion.

Enjoy a fun lunchtime experience while experiencing Japanese culture.

Ryugeji
Temple: Beautiful gardens and historic buildings are a highlight.

Funakoshi Park (Cherry Blossoms)
A hilltop park known as a famous cherry blossom spot. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the harbor.

Kunozan Toshogu Shrine (accessible by ropeway)
: A national treasure associated with Tokugawa Ieyasu. A famous spot filled with historical romance.

Nihondaira Yume Terrace:
A spectacular spot with a panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay.

Sunpu Castle Park:
The ruins of the castle where Tokugawa Ieyasu spent his final years. Perfect for a stroll.

Toro Ruins:
A historical spot where you can experience life in the Yayoi period.

*Due to time constraints, only one location will be visited (two locations are possible in some cases).

 

3:00 PM Arrival and Disbandment at Shimizu Port
After enjoying the experience and sightseeing, the tour will disband at Shimizu Port.
This is a timely itinerary that is convenient for cruise passengers.
