With a height of 634 meters, Tokyo Skytree is the second tallest tower in the world. It’s possible to see Mt. Fuji from one of the few spots. Asakusa is well known for its traditional Japanese atmosphere, and one of the most visited places is Senso-ji temple. Known as “the floating shrine”, Itsukushima Shrine was registered as a World Heritage site in 1996. When the tide is low, it’s possible to walk to the gate. The Atomic Bomb Dome is the most famous building of the site, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It stands as a reminder of the result of nuclear war and survivors. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum showcases items and photographs of the devastation of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. Dotonbori is the heart of Osaka and is known for its nightlife area, restaurants and sighboard. |
