Tour Overview

This is a 6-hour tour that allows you to casually experience Japanese life and culture.
In the abacus class, you will learn about traditional calculation methods and try your hand at calculations using an abacus.
In the cooking class that follows, you will experience making rice balls and a classic Japanese bento box, learning about Japanese home culture through food.

In the afternoon, you can choose your sightseeing tour of Shizuoka based on your interests.
You can combine attractions such as temples, scenic views, history, and nature. This popular plan offers a good balance between cultural experiences and sightseeing at the same time.

09:00 Meet and depart from Shimizu Port

After meeting up with your guide, you will move to the first experience facility.

Abacus class experience**

Experience the basic movements and simple calculations using the traditional Japanese calculating tool, the soroban.
This is a popular cultural activity that can be enjoyed by both adults and children.

Cooking class: Onigiri bento making experience **
Experience making your own rice balls, a classic Japanese home-cooked dish, and packing side dishes into a bento box.
You can enjoy the bento you made for lunch later.

● Ryugeji Temple (approx. 20-30 minutes)
A ​​Zen temple surrounded by silence and greenery. Enjoy a relaxing stroll.

● Funakoshi Park (approx. 30-45 minutes):
A famous cherry blossom viewing spot. A scenic spot with a panoramic view of Shizuoka city and the harbor.

● Kunozan Toshogu Shrine + Ropeway (approx. 120 mins)
A national treasure dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu. The ocean view from the ropeway is a must-see.

● Nihondaira Yume Terrace (approx. 30 minutes)
The most popular observation spot overlooking Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay, and Shizuoka city.

● Sunpu Castle Park (approx. 45-60 minutes)
The remains of the castle where Tokugawa Ieyasu spent his final years. The Higashi-Omon Gate and turret are must-sees.

● Toro Ruins (approx. 45-60 minutes):
A historical park where Yayoi period dwellings have been restored. A great spot for taking photos.
